The Wild Heifer Estate
An Alentejo estate reborn — three traditional manor houses, a centenary olive grove, and the wild Guadiana river.

In the heart of the Guadiana Valley
The Wild Heifer Estate sits at the meeting point of three distinctive territorial identities: the historic walled town of Serpa, with its UNESCO-listed cante alentejano and DOP cheese; the Sao Bras Range and the Guadiana Valley, integrated into Portugal's Vale do Guadiana Natural Park and the European Natura 2000 network; and the Pulo do Lobo, the dramatic 30-metre gorge where the river plunges between vertical quartzite walls more than 280 million years old.
This is the deep Alentejo — quiet, golden, ancient. A two-and-a-half hour drive from Lisbon, ninety minutes from Seville.
